The Manager of Infection Control and Prevention will be responsible for the management and coordination of all activities related to Infection Prevention & Control (IC&P) at Allentown and Bethlehem campuses. This position will be a highly recognizably figure in the network and in the public with regards to IC&P issues. This individual will provide epidemiological expertise, strategic vision, and administrative excellence in the development and implementation of the infection prevention program at Allentown and Bethlehem campuses that will include; infection surveillance and reporting, data analysis, staff education, and performance improvement related to the prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). They will ensure that policies, procedures, and systems are in place and adhered to in regard to all measures of infection prevention to align with network compliance which includes both Allentown and Bethlehem campuses.
EDUCATION: Licensed Registered Nurse, or licensed medical professional with a Bachelors Degree required . Will also consider a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology /Epidemiology or related field. Masters Degree in nursing or related field preferred. Public Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Infection Control preferred. Candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
