Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and possession of a medical degree approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, preferably with a master's degree in public health or a related field.
The appointee to the position will be required to complete a criminal background check, Child Protective Services Registry, an Office of Inspector General (OIG), and a National Provider Identifier to the satisfaction of the employer.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Licensed at time of appointment to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Considerable background and experience in epidemiology. Experience in population health and communicable diseases. Knowledge of zoonotic and tropical diseases. Experience working in public health setting. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
Job is generally sedentary in nature, however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor, incumbent must be able to operate keyboard driven equipment. Must communicate with others. Employee may require to lift up to 15 lbs. (all duties). All duties perform with or without reasonable accommodations.
