We are seeking an Infection Preventionist (IP) to assist in preventing healthcare-associated infections by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread. The IP is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analysis, interpretation, and reporting; supporting the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory, and accrediting agency standards; training healthcare members in infection prevention; and serving as resource, educator, researcher, and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, medical technology or nursing
RN licensure within the State of Pennsylvania, if an RN
ASCP registration if a Clinical Lab Scientist or Med Tech
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control
NHSN, TJC experience
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
EPIC or related EMR system preferred
Sterilization and surgical experience preferred
