We are presently seeking an Associate Medical Director Infection Prevention & Antimicrobial Stewardship who will be working as part of the team in the Division of Infectious Diseases. Responsibilities include but not limited to assisting the Medical Director; providing subject matter expertise in infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology; reviewing healthcare associated infections with subsequent implementation of infection control and process improvement efforts to reduce HAIs.
Duties include maintaining current knowledge of the regulatory agencies requirements (TJC, OSHA, and AHCA) and the recommending agencies guidelines (CDC, EPA, FDA) for infection prevention and control, and plans and implements changes as necessary. Monitoring the Environment of Care, construction and maintenance actives and advising risk reduction strategies (ICRA, care area out of service).
Education: MD or DO Degree Required. Position requires 7 to 9 years of Infection Prevention experience.Board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Strong clinical experience in patient safety and quality improvement highly preferred. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
