Up to $12,500 with 2 - 4 years IP experience
Up to $15K with 4+ years IP experience
Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or must obtain this within two years of hire.
Develops leadership qualities - organization, an eye for detail and project management, with the ability to bring the right people to the table and lead that group effectively, while engaging group members and requesting colleagues' input.
Builds a strong network of peers working in Infection Control. Membership or affiliation with local chapters of national professional groups, such as APIC or the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.
Acts on curiosity, as an Infection Preventionist, willing to research all possible solutions until a conclusion is met.
Patient advocate with a heightened sense of accountability for all patients in the hospital, making sure every patient receives stellar healthcare and all the right practices.

This position will oversee three campuses. Candidates must have Infection Preventionist experience in an acute care hospital. Registered Nurse highly preferred.
Abrazo Scottsdale Campus is a 136-bed full-service acute care community-based hospital which has provided excellent comprehensive medical care for more than 30 years. Specialized services include an accredited chest pain center, wound care and hyperbaric medicine, advanced orthopedics enhanced diagnostic imaging, and dedicated women’s programs.
Abrazo Central Campus a 221-bed acute care facility and teaching hospital, has been providing quality care for more than 50 years, and has received many notable awards and accolades from national organizations and is recognized for comprehensive cardiovascular care, neuroscience services, orthopedics, women’s health, radiology, and 24-hour emergency care, with more than 800 affiliated physicians on staff offering a wide range of medical specialties.
Abrazo Mesa Hospital is our sister hospital to Abrazo Central Campus, a micro hospital which focuses on providing Emergency Room services and less complex inpatient procedures. It includes a 12-bed emergency department, an operating room, and eight inpatient rooms, along with additional services. Additional services include surgery, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy and other outpatient services.
Professional specialized in infection control. Coordinates infection control matters with other disciplines. Develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates a comprehensive infection control program for the hospital. Assists employee health with exposures and illnesses. May also under employee health provide professional nursing services to employees according.
Ability to analyze, research data as related to transmission of infection. Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills. Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends/methodologies and Employee Health Practices as it applies.
Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School or degree in Epidemiology.
Preferred Education: BSN or master's in related field.
Minimum Experience: 2-5 years nursing experience or 1-2 years in acute care infection control.
Preferred Experience: 5 years nursing experience in acute care, 1-2 years nursing experience in infection control, or epidemiology experience in an acute care hospital
Required Certifications/Licensure: for RNs -Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona.
Required Course(s)/Training: EP II as given by APIC during first year of employment or equivalent certification
Preferred Certifications/Registration: CIC (Certification in Infection Control) should be obtained within 2 years of hire. Member APIC.
Supervises: May supervise an Administrative Assistant.
