Tenet Healthcare has an immediate opportunity for a Manager, Infection Prevention. The National Infection Prevention (IP) Manager is responsible for facilitating Tenet hospitals and healthcare entities in identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The IP Manager collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention best practices across Tenet. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required. Travel nationwide may be required (up to 25%).
ï¿½Assist with development, implementation, and evaluation of the enterprise infection prevention program.
ï¿½Direct development of facility annual surveillance plans based on the population(s) served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.
ï¿½Utilize epidemiologic principles to conduct targeted surveillance and investigations.
ï¿½Develop, interpret and assist with implementation of infection prevention and control
policies and protocols.
ï¿½Communicate infection prevention and control information and data to various stakeholders across the enterprise.
ï¿½Assess and address learning needs of those served.
ï¿½Create educational goals, objectives, and strategies using learning principles and available educational tools and technology.
ï¿½Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and learner outcomes
ï¿½Ensure compliance with regulatory and mandatory reporting requirements at the local, state and federal levels.
ï¿½Facilitate compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
ï¿½Stay current on infection prevention and control regulatory and accreditation standards
ï¿½Function as a subject matter expert and problem solver.
ï¿½Utilize performance improvement methodology as a means of enacting sustained improvements.
ï¿½Ensure that customer needs and expectations are considered in the development of and continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.
ï¿½Design and analyze process and outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability.
ï¿½ Direct committees, teams and initiatives as needed.
Masters degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, or related field.
Work Experience: At least 3 years of Infection Prevention experience at the level of a multi facility health system.
ï¿½Leadership level experience required.
ï¿½Experience with acute care, ambulatory care, an surgical settings required.
Certification:Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required
