As an Infection Prevention Coordinator, you will be responsible for the oversight, implementation, and monitoring of the Boys Town National Research Hospital Infection Prevention Program.
Collects, prepares, and presents infection prevention information for the Infection Prevention Committee.
Collects, analyzes, and disseminates infection prevention data from surveillance activities; prepares statistical data to identify and analyze trends; recommends actions to improve performance.
Directs the development, delivery, and evaluation of orientation, educational programs and/or e-Learnings related to infection prevention.
Provides oversight of the safety and infection control processes for new construction, renovation, modernization, and general maintenance.
Develops, implements, and monitors compliance with infection prevention policies and procedures through on-site rounding.
Performs and/or oversees daily surveillance for hospital acquired infections, e.g., central line infections, post op surgical infections, ventilator acquired pneumonia.
Coordinates activities related to ongoing readiness with The Joint Commission standards, CDC, OSHA regulations and requirements of applicable local, state, federal regulatory agencies.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
Master’s degree in nursing or other healthcare field is preferred
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Must possess a current valid RN License
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in clinic, ambulatory surgical, or hospital setting
Infection control/prevention experience preferred
Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC), is preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to problem solve and function independently in areas of responsibility
Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
BLS certification required
Must have a means of transportation between BTNRH sites
