We are seeking an Infection Prevention Coordinator to fill a full time day shift position to be responsible for monitoring patients with infectious diseases, detecting and tracking Hospital Acquired Infections and coordinating hospital-wide measures pertaining to Infection Prevention, including surveillance reporting, education and observation.
This position requires strong competence in the areas of patient care practices, infectious diseases, epidemiology and statistics, microbiologic practice, sterilization and disinfection, construction, emergency preparedness, education, employee health services, management and communication. Knowledge of budgetary matters and computer literacy is needed. Strong communication skills, both written and oral are a must. The individual must have good problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree (graduate of Accredited School of Nursing and Registered Nurse licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology or Health-Related Field), certified in Infection Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC) are required.
