In this role:
You will ensure the highest quality and most efficient service to our culturally diverse population through the proper use of facilities, supplies, equipment, and resources. Under the direction of the supervisor, you will independently perform a variety of pre-, analytical, and post-analytical clinical assays to diagnose, treat and combat disease. Using your flexible mindset and keen observation skills, you will also:
Order, analyze and assure validity of tests results, and manipulate data reports using LIS
Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on specimens including ER STAT
Adhere to strict QC/IC best practices required for CAP and NYSDOH testing
Our ideal candidate will possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent physical sciences
Minimum 2 years' experience in a designated clinical laboratory setting
Current NYS Licensed Laboratory Technologist
ASCP certification; LIS and QIHC preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency
