This position will take a lead role in data driven performance improvement initiatives with a focus on the development of statistical analysis approaches including: Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, predictive analytics, and inferential statistics. Participate in statistical aspects of collaborative health services, clinical, and epidemiological research conducted with other researchers and clinicians including research design, database design, statistical analysis, and abstract, poster, and manuscript preparation as appropriate.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Takes lead role in data driven performance improvement initiatives with a focus on the development of statistical analysis approaches including AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and inferential statistics.
Participates in statistical aspects of collaborative health services, clinical, and epidemiological research as appropriate.
Provides time management and project tracking for work performed
Mentors, consults and collaborates with enterprise and service area data analysts and other statisticians across Christiana Care Health System
Identifies, cost effective statistical methodology for analysis of clinical and operational data
Oversees quality of data collection methods, data entry and other factors affecting data reliability.
Provides on-going assistance and guidance in the review of research literature to identify and clarify investigatory hypotheses as appropriate.
Collaborates in documenting and communicating statistical methods utilized and results of performance initiatives. When appropriate, participates in writing manuscripts for publication and presentation
Develops and conducts classes, seminars and workshops on cost effective statistical analysis, data driven operations analysis design for health care professionals.
Assists departments in developing statistical data analysis infrastructure and strategy.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; report to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
PhD in statistics, biostatistics or related science, technology, engineering or math field required.
Five years of experience in a data driven clinical performance improvement role
Project management experience in a performance improvement, research and other settings preferred.
