The Rockefeller University, the world’s premiere research university, seeks an Infection Control Coordinator to join our Hospital Medical Director’s team.
Oversee the infection control program in a unique hospital environment
Work across hospital departments to develop infection control policies and practices
Provide training to all staff, including custodial staff; and assist in compliance with Department of Health regulations, and standards relevant to sterile processing, food preparation and environment of care
Responsible for staffing the Infection Control subcommittee of the Medical Staff
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree required; educational emphasis in nursing or other clinical field preferred and 2-3 years of experience in hospital infection control
APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) certification preferred
Highly competent in Word, Excel, and web-based applications and information sources
Self-directed with excellent communication skills, attentive to detail, and experience in public speaking a plus
Available to work 15 hours per week
