The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA is seeking an outstanding MD to serve as departmental clinical informaticist as well as serving in the section of bone and soft tissue pathology. AP/CP board certification/eligibility is essential. Prior experience in clinical informatics and subspecialty training in bone and soft tissue pathology is strongly desired. The appointment would be at the level of Assistant professor. Prior experience with clinical informatics including an established record of participating and preferably leading clinical informatics projects as well as prior sign out experience in bone and soft tissue pathology is strongly preferred.
The candidate will be responsible for engaging in and eventually leading our department's efforts in clinical informatics, for both the anatomic and clinical pathology divisions. The candidate is also expected to participate in clinical service coverage in bone and soft tissue pathology in addition to general intraoperative frozen sections. Candidates with another sub-specialty area in anatomic pathology in addition to bone and soft tissue pathology (with formal training) are preferred.
The candidate will share responsibility for training residents and fellows. Creative contributions in clinical, educational or research projects is expected.
