Infection Control Practitioner

General Summary:

Responsible for coordinating infection control activities within the Jefferson Health Care Center. Takes part in the surveillance, control, prevention, monitoring and evaluating of infections in the clinical areas. Provides educational opportunities for associates and health care providers, influences change and advancement related to infection control practices. Collaborates with the team to achieve results related to infection prevention needs. Calculates infection control rates, performs independent clinical studies and trials as indicated.
