The Director of Sterile Processing Department (SPD) will have direct oversight for all SPD activities performed across Montefiore Medical Center. The incumbent will provide a technically efficient, customer engaging, safe environment for all phases of care using the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards. The incumbent will be responsible for developing the leadership teams within each campus, ensuring workforce planning and associate development, while supporting service line operational needs. Responsible for ensuring each department provides high quality, efficient, infection preventing, and patient-focused services, compliant with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will also facilitate student clinical rotations thru partnerships with local colleges and universities.
Education, Training & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in physical Sciences, i.e., Chemistry, Biology required
Master's degree with a health care concentration
Certified in Central Sterile Processing - CRCST
Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or equivalent leadership certification within 2 years of hire
Minimum of five years management experience
