Utilizes education and skills to provide a safe environment while providing quality care to all patients undergoing care in the Surgery Center as directed by the physicians. Coordinates personnel, staff, and resources to ensure safe patient care and coverage.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Supports the Surgery Center Administrator in the operation of the Surgery Center, onboarding, the hiring process, scheduling and employee supervision
Monitors performance and attendance and ensures compliance with company policies, CMS Regulations and AAAHC Accreditation Standards
Participates in employee relation matters which may result in corrective action or termination
Acts as a resource person to all levels of staffing accomplishing care of patients
Assess staff needs according to work load and staff Re-assign and adjust staffing based on patient care needs
Gives assistance and provides direction to staff to facilitate quality patient care and efficient patient flow
Assists with QI, infection control, and OSHA programs as requested from management
Responsible for procurement/evaluation of equipment, supplies, and drugs for surgery center
Plans and budgets for needs of clinical areas
Assumes charge of Surgery Center when administrator is gone
Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others
Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Completion of an accredited post-secondary training program in nursing required. BSN preferred.
Experience: 5 years of experience in peri-operative nursing required. Supervisory experience required.
Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Basic Computer skills required.
Certifications & Licenses: Current Tennessee RN license or current RN license from a Multi-State licensure compact required.
BLS and ACLS required. PALS preferred. All licensures and certifications must be maintained.
