Clinical Services 1.0 FTE, 8 Hour Day Shift Job Summary This paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job. The Infection Prevention and Control Specialist (IPCS), assists in the planning, development and evaluation of the goals, standards, policies and procedures of an integrated hospital-wide Infection Control Program to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet Joint Commission, OSHA, Public Health Department, and Centers for Disease Control requirements; completes infection control needs assessment; educates employees and providers about infection control; and conducts surveillance, analysis, reporting, risk reduction, and outbreak control of nonsocomial infections;
