Nursing Assistant Telemetry Full Time Days Position Summary
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs clinical duties that provide patient care to meet the needs of post-acute surgical female patients during the post-surgical period. These duties required critical thinking skills and include obtaining and documenting vital signs, monitoring intake and output, assisting with ambulation and position change, and reporting of abnormal findings to the RN. Duties are performed as directed within approved standards of care and require attention to detail and observation of infection control standards and patient safety standards. Performs other related duties as directed such as equipment maintenance and stocking of rooms. Assumes responsibility for meeting the basic needs of all patients assigned. Provides care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated. Works collaboratively as a member of the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet department and hospital goals. Provides quality care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned. Must be willing/able to float to other (comparable) nursing units, as requested/needed.
NURSING ASSISTANT TELEMETRY FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Qualifications 1. High school graduate or equivalent 2. Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Course, CNA Certification, completion of Nursing Fundamentals Course in an accredited RN program, EMT certification or Certified Medical Assistant 3. Must have current BCLS certification 4. Previous hospital experience preferred
