Under the supervision of the Director of Supply Chain with a dotted line to the Director of Surgical Services, and working under the direction of the OR Materials Supervisor, the Supply Chain Coordinator duties will be to maintain daily medical and surgical supply in the Surgical Service and Gastro Intestinal departments. Assist Lead Surgical Tech with equipment repair and/or service needs. Research special equipment and/or supply needs, perform weekly inventory cycle count and semiannual inventories, ensures effective communication with surgical service director, physicians, circulating nurses, and surgical technicians of any supply deficiency, review daily surgical schedule with department schedulers for any special supply needs.

Education and Experience
Required:
Minimum Education:Knowledge of Automated Inventory Control Systems. Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.
Minimum Experience:Good Communication Skills. Minimum of 3 years in a hospital Supply Chain Department.
Preferred: Preferred Skills and Abilities: Certified Surgical Technologist. Surgical Service Material Management experience. High School diploma or equivalent.
