The SCI Outpatient Clinic provides routine health care to Veterans throughout VISN20. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement, 01/31/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. The HT in the develops their practice and adherence to a high level of respect and knowledge of veteran patient rights and responsibilities. The HT's practice includes all activities of daily living, and general nursing duties and tasks to help the team provide emergency care to the veteran patient. The HT supports the unit operations and can be assigned clinical and non-clinical duties. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Monitor patient enrollment information to the designated clinics, assisting clinic providers in enrolling patients into a Patient Care Encounter (PCE) module. Ensure accurate eligibility is reflected and enrollments are current. Incumbent will maintain various files, forms, and publications, etc. Assists with Telehealth technician functions and patient instructions for care. Participate in quality monitoring and TQI activities as directed, on an ongoing basis, assisting service line staff in service audits, reports, assessments, etc. May also assist the team in collecting and monitoring clinic data, performing time studies, etc. Collects specialized SCI patient data specific to SCI Clinic needs which may include vital signs, pain level, weight, height, and observation of overall condition relative the patient's level of injury.
