This position is located at the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Primary Care under the Nursing Service line with the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Optometry Technicians have both clinical and administrative responsibilities. They assist optometrists in the delivery of eye care. Technicians perform functions that include, but are not limited to, pre-testing, ocular imaging and testing, ready exam rooms, and clinic management. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
