Position Summary: The Quality Consultant is responsible for working within the task team to implement the work plan and engage key participants, stakeholders and customers. This work involves delivery of 1:1 technical assistance to nursing homes and other health care organizations particularly related to infection prevention and control and healthcare associated infections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy technical assistance and quality improvement interventions in accordance with the work plan
Coach clinicians and health care organizations through rapid improvement cycles
Lead and/or participate in recruitment efforts as needed
Maintain customer satisfaction and engagement
Engage key partners
Implement and improve standard processes for initiating, tracking, and completing quality improvement initiatives
Identify challenges and work with team to adjust interventions as needed
Monitor landscape for other resources, partners, and projects in content area(s)
Gather and incorporate voice of customer (CMS, health care providers, beneficiaries, patient, etc.) into the task deployment
Contribute to completion of task deliverables
Serve as point of contact for task participants
Escalate concerns or changes to budget to Program Director
Job Skills Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
Previous Experience: 2 years minimum experience in nursing home clinical operations, infection prevention and control, quality improvement/QAPI and/or project management in health care
Leadership Skills: Relationship management, project management, strong communication with internal and external customers, and effective writing skills
