The Medical Supply Technician-Sterile Processing (MST-SPS) is in the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Section under the Associate Director for Patient Care Service. MST-SPS is a member of the nursing care team and is responsible for the decontamination and re-processing of all Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) at VAMHCS, while maintaining strict Infection Control guidelines as determined by VAMHCS policy and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directive. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. (NOTE: This is only applicable to current VA Health Profession Trainees (HPTs) and supporting documents must be provided to be referred under this condition.)
