The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Surgical Specialty Clinic is a member of the nursing team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs assignments requiring licensure as a practical nurse. The LPN administers vaccinations and other injections while participating in interdisciplinary team. The LPN recognizes and responds appropriately to emergency situations, promotes virtual care modalities based on need, and is able to keep up with fast paced environment. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
