Hematopathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Children's Minnesota is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Hematopathologist. Expertise or special interest in flow cytometry and/or pediatric pathology is desired. Adult trained pathologists encouraged to apply!

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Children's Minnesota receives approximately 10,000 surgical and cytology specimens and processes nearly 1 million laboratory tests per year. The hematopathology service interprets approximately 1,300 bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood morphologies, 1,550 cytology preparations and 225 flow cytometry cases. We have recently acquired a 10 color flow cytometry analyzer and are actively developing in-house minimal residual disease and advanced immunology testing capabilities.

Children's Minnesota's Cancer and Blood Disorders program is the largest in the region, treating more than 70% of children diagnosed (0-14) with cancer and blood disorders in Minnesota.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is very collegial and enjoys a close consultative relationship with all clinical and surgical services.

• BC/BE in Clinical Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• BC/BE in Hematopathology
• MD, DO with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to be successfully credentialed by both Hospital and 3rd Party Payers.
