Job Description

We seek a postdoctoral fellow in cancer epidemiology to join the team of Dr. Elizabeth Kantor in the Epidemiology Service. The fellow will dedicate substantial effort to a large, multi-disciplinary NCI-funded study of breast cancer, the Optimal Breast Cancer Chemotherapy Dosing (OBCD) Study, with a specific focus on toxicity and characterizing its impact on subsequent patient care. The fellow will have the opportunity to lead a breadth of research projects and will be an active member of cross-disciplinary research teams, publish peer-reviewed work, and gain experience in grant writing.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A doctoral degree in epidemiology or related quantitative discipline, including but not limited to biostatistics, public health, or health outcomes/pharmaceutical outcomes research.
• Enthusiasm and creativity for understanding cancer epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, and/or epidemiologic methods.
• Peer-reviewed publications in epidemiology or related quantitative field.
• Strong understanding of quantitative methods, study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Comfort working with large data sets and proficiency in a statistical programming language, including but not limited to R, Stata, or SAS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $55,439 - 100,940
