MEDICAL SPECIALTY CARE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
The Medical Specialty Care RN coordinates nursing care within a team environment for patients within the specialty clinic (Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pain, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Renal and Pulmonary) setting. The Medical Specialty RN uses the nursing process to screen patients for initial and recurring provider appointments as well as assist providers with minor in-office procedures. Must have a general knowledge of medications and treatments. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency
