DescriptionThe Cardiovascular Sonographer will perform diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound studies and provides written technical impressions to assist cardiologists with interpretations.RequirementsEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two year allied health education program that is patient care related or Certification from a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Program.CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Certification; or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Certification required, or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).
