Registered Nurse - Nursing Officer of the Day
The Nursing Officer of the Day (NOD) is a registered professional nurse, responsible for maintaining safe patient care by providing leadership and support to the unit staff, supervising clinical, administrative, and bed placement functions. The NOD has delegated authority for the Associate Director, Patient Care Services, for nursing decisions regarding workload, assignment of staff, management of clinical, administrative, personnel issues during non-administrative hours. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
