Job Description:

This is a contingent position which averages 8 - 16 hours/week

� Specific role functions include the surveillance, analysis, record keeping, monitoring and recording of pre-employment and annual employee health assessment screens, workers compensation injuries, as well as managing bloodborne exposures, immunizations, illness and injuries.
� Administers all aspects of occupational health services for health care professionals (HCP).
� Collaborates with the Infection Control Coordinator by integrating infection control/employee health activities.
� Assist in developing and presenting monthly reports of Employee Health activities to the Environment of Care Committee and the Infection Prevention and Control Committee at regular intervals.
� Assists with compilation of monthly data submitted by all departments regarding employee illnesses and trends the data to identify patterns of developing outbreak of infectious diseases among employees. Conducts the Employee Health portion of the bi-weekly New Employee Orientation, to include discussing procedures for Employee Health and Worker�s Compensation requirements.
� Coordinates the administration of any vaccines identified by CDC or other Public Health entities for employee groups on an as-identified basis.
� Participates on various system and hospital committees regarding employee safety and workers compensation.

� Associate�s degree in nursing or Diploma required. Bachelor�s degree in Nursing preferred.
� Current licensed as Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan required.
� BLS required.
� Two to three years of experience in the nursing field. Previous Employee Health/Occupational Health in health care field experience preferred.
