Job Description
Job Duties: Diagnose, treat & prevent communicable diseases; Offer comprehensive care for both acute & chronic infections caused by a variety of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, and fungi; Consult with a large number of patients at both Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City and the Saint Luke's Infectious Disease Clinic and evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of serious conditions including infections and infectious diseases; Diagnose unknown infections and manage the care of patients with complex communicable diseases; Counsel patients on antimicrobial agents, antibiotic resistance, vaccines, and other immunobiological agents; Treat immunocompromised patients with high risk for serious infection.
The minimum requirements for the Position Offered are a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or foreign equivalent. Must have completed a fellowship in Infectious Disease and a fellowship in Transplant Infectious Disease. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and have a Missouri medical license by the time of appointment. Saint Luke's Health System. Company Headquarters: Kansas City, MO.
